Iron

A deficiency that’s far from rare

Iron deficiency is the most widespread nutrient deficiency worldwide : it affects over 2 billion people.

WHAT ARE THE FACTORS THAT CAUSE IRON DEFICIENCY ?

Iron deficiency is one of the most common deficiencies globally and can have multiple causes. It often results from an insufficient dietary intake, poor absorption, or recurrent blood loss (heavy menstruation, bleeding).

Chronic inflammation, B-vitamin deficiencies, or high intake of iron absorption inhibitors such as phytates (grains, legumes, seeds) and polyphenols (tea, coffee, wine, chocolate) can also impair iron absorption. Identifying these factors is key to tailoring effective supplementation :

  • Nutritional deficiencies or the presence of antinutritional factors (phytates, phosphates, starch)
  • Blood loss / hemorrhage (e.g. menstruation)
  • Deficiency in vitamins (B2, B6, B8, B9, B12, E, copper) leading to reduced erythropoiesis (red blood cell production in the bone marrow)
  • Malabsorption (leaky gut, celiac disease, parasites, unbalanced microbiota)
  • Excess intake of zinc, manganese or polyphenols competing with iron absorption
  • Genetic factors (e.g. hemoglobinopathies)

WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES OF ANEMIA ?

Anemia directly impacts the blood’s ability to transport oxygen. It usually presents as persistent fatigue, poor concentration, headaches, or unusual paleness.

In more advanced cases, it can cause heart palpitations, tinnitus, or shortness of breath with exertion. In pregnant women, it increases the risk of premature birth or low birth weight.

In children, it may be linked to attention deficits or hyperactivity (ADHD). Untreated chronic anemia can also impair cognitive functions and weaken the immune system.

VITAFER Complex, EXCEPTIONAL BIOAVAILABILITY

VITAFER doesn’t just provide iron – it targets the obstacles to its absorption and supports blood formation. Thanks to iron bisglycinate, a chelated and highly bioavailable form (bioavailability >90%), the body benefits from an efficient intake without oxidation or loss.

The presence of natural vitamin C from acerola further enhances iron absorption, particularly for non-heme (plant-based) iron.

The formula is enriched with B vitamins :

  • Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) contributes to the maintenance of normal red blood cells
  • Vitamins B6 and B12 support their formation
  • Folate (B9) contributes to normal blood formation

Biotin (vitamin B8) plays a key role in normal body function by contributing to normal energy metabolism – a valuable benefit when fatigue sets in. It also helps efficiently convert macronutrients (proteins, carbs, fats), which is essential for replenishing energy when iron is low. By contributing to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes, it also supports overall balance, especially in the digestive tract – a subtle but valuable aid for optimal nutrient absorption, including iron.

Finally, chlorophyll, with a molecular structure similar to hemoglobin, complements the formula by supporting intracellular iron transport.

All of this in a stomach-friendly formula, without digestive discomfort.

RECOMMENDED IN THE FOLLOWING CASES

  • Persistent fatigue
  • Diet low in vitamin C (common in winter)
  • Exposure to pathogen-prone environments
  • Cold exposure
  • Recurrent infections
  • Colds
  • High consumption of tea, coffee or wine

The Benefits of VITAFER

  • Highly bioavailable iron bisglycinate (>90%)
  • B vitamins : support blood formation and help reduce fatigue
  • Vitamin C : enhances iron absorption
  • Chlorophyll : supports iron transport in the body
  • Excellent digestive tolerance

Madame R

Je suis depuis longtemps fidèle à ce produit facile à digérer ( contrairement à d’autres remèdes à base de fer) et je continue à en faire des cures régulières.
Je le recommande!
